Plant Care

Watering

Water once a week or when the soil starts to become slightly dry at the top. Keep the soil lightly moist at all times, but do not overwater as this will cause brown spots and leaf drop. Curly or dry leaves suggest, the plant is dry and needs watering. Water in the early morning or late evening when temperatures are cooler. Always check your soil before watering.

Light

Bright indoor light or indirect sun. 6 hours to 8 hours

Temperature

Maintain temperatures between 18°C - 24°C. Avoid draughts as these can create undesirable temperature fluctuations. Consider giving your plant an occasional misting twice every week to maintain the optimum humidity level.

Fertilizer

Apply liquid fertilizer once in 15 days when the plant is actively growing. For best results use Folikraft ready to use Indoor Plant Food.

Plant Bio

Jungle vibes guaranteed with the Scindapsus Pictus. The plant has striking silver speckles on the leaf, wow!

Between 17 and 25 degrees Celsius.

 Indirect sunlight or partly shade.

Water once or twice a week.

 Re-pot every 12 months.

Not only is the Scindapsus Pictus a feast for the eyes, the plant also has air-filtering properties. It’s an ideal plant for your bedroom.

The Scindapsus finds its origin in the tropical regions of East Asia and belongs to the large Araceae family. Other well-known plants from this family are, for example, the Philodendron, Anthurium, Zamioculca and Aglaonema.

In its natural habitat, the Scindapsus often grows in the jungle against larger trees and can therefore be placed in a place with less sunlight. A spot with indirect sunlight is ideal. Are you a fan of trailing plants? Then hang the Scindapsus Pictus in a beautiful plant hanger. Or do you prefer a climbing plant? Then you can easily grow the Pictus against a moss stick.
Preferably water the Scindapsus Pictus about 1 to 2 times a week, depending on the season and the temperature. The soil can be a bit damp between watering, but make sure the roots don’t stay too wet.
