Watering

During summer, Water daily or when the soil starts to become slightly dry at the top. During Winter season water once in 2 days or when the soil starts to become slightly dry at the top. Water in the early morning or late evening when temperatures are cooler. Always check your soil before watering.

Light

During summer season keep the plants in shaded area and during winter season plants can withstand direct/indirect light.

Temperature

During summer season or when the temperature is above 45°C place the plant in shaded area. During winter season or the when the temperature is below 45°C the plants can be directly placed in direct/indirect sunlight.

Fertilizer

Apply liquid fertilizer or slow release fertilizer once in 15 days. Always fertilizer the plants during the morning hours when the temperature is low. For best results use Folikraft ready to use Outdoor Plant Food / Flower Booster.

Plant Care Guide for Cuban Oregano

Watering:

Allow the top inch of the soil to dry out between watering. Cuban Oregano prefers slightly moist soil but is susceptible to overwatering, which can lead to root rot.

Light Requirements:

Provide at least 4-6 hours of bright, direct sunlight daily. If grown indoors, a south-facing window is ideal.

Temperature & Humidity:

Thrives in warm climates; ideally between 60°F and 85°F (15°C to 29°C). Protect it from frost by bringing it indoors if necessary.

Fertilization:

Feed with a balanced, all-purpose fertilizer every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer). Reduce feeding in the fall and winter.

Pruning:

Trim regularly to promote bushiness and prevent legginess. Remove flower buds for a better flavor in the leaves.

Propagation:

Easily propagated through cuttings or by division. Cuttings should be allowed to callous before planting in moist soil.

Pest Management:

Watch for common pests like spider mites and aphids. Use insecticidal soap or neem oil for treatment if necessary.
