Indirect sunlight, 6 to 8 hours
Maintain temperatures between 18°C - 24°C. Avoid draughts as these can create undesirable temperature fluctuations. Consider giving your plant an occasional misting twice every week to maintain the optimum humidity level.
Provide fertilizer once the first true leaves emerge. The first set of leaves that appear are known as the seed leaves. The second set of leaves are the first ‘true leaves,’ and a sign that your plant is getting mature and ready for serious growth. Dilute a balanced fertilizer to ¼ the strength recommended. Fertilize once in 2 weeks.

Aquila Mixed Color flowers, also known as Aquilegia or Columbine, are exquisite and easy-to-grow perennials. To sow and nurture these seeds effectively:
Timing and Location: Start sowing Aquila Mixed Color seeds indoors 8-10 weeks before the last expected frost in your area. Choose a location with partial shade to full sun, and well-drained soil rich in organic matter.
Preparation: Prepare seed trays or pots filled with a high-quality seed starting mix. Moisten the mix before planting to ensure even moisture distribution.
Sowing: Sow the Aquila Mixed Color seeds on the surface of the soil, gently pressing them down without covering them as they require light to germinate. Space the seeds about 1-2 inches apart to allow for adequate growth.
Moisture and Temperature: Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Provide bottom heat with a heating mat to maintain a soil temperature of around 65-70°F (18-21°C), which aids in germination. Cover the trays or pots with a clear plastic dome or plastic wrap to create a greenhouse-like environment.
Germination: Aquila Mixed Color seeds typically germinate in 14-28 days. Once the seedlings emerge, remove the plastic covering and place them in a bright location with indirect sunlight.
Transplanting: When the seedlings have developed their second set of true leaves, transplant them into individual pots or into the garden, spacing them 12-18 inches apart.
With proper care and attention, your Aquila Mixed Color flowers will grace your garden with their charming blooms year after year.
