Plant Care

Watering

Pour water into the bottom reservoir through the designated opening. Avoid overfilling—most pots have a maximum fill line. Check the water level indicator regularly. Refill the reservoir when it drops below the minimum line to ensure consistent soil moisture.

Light

Bright indoor light or indirect sun. 6 hours to 8 hours

Temperature

Maintain temperatures between 18°C - 24°C. Avoid draughts as these can create undesirable temperature fluctuations. Consider giving your plant an occasional misting twice every week to maintain the optimum humidity level.

Fertilizer

Apply liquid fertilizer once in 15 days when the plant is actively growing. For best results use Folikraft ready to use Indoor Plant Food.

Plant Bio

The anthurium genus contains hundreds of tropical plant species, often admired as houseplants for their bright, nearly year-round flowers. Anthurium is native to the tropical rain forests of Central and South America. The Anthurium is characterized by its shiny dark foliage with its heart shaped flowers available in reds, whites and pink variations.

This setup does three things:

  • Reduces watering frequency — you fill the reservoir once and it lasts days or even weeks depending on the plant.
  • Keeps roots healthier — no sitting in stagnant water, no sudden dryness.
  • Cuts the chance of plant death — ideal for people who forget or travel often.

The pot also stays cleaner than regular planters since there’s no overflow mess, and the consistent moisture helps most common indoor plants grow more evenly. If you want a setup that makes plant care almost idiot-proof without sacrificing style, a self-watering pot is one of the most practical upgrades you can make.

Anthurium plants can tolerate all levels of indirect light. It grows best in bright, indirect light. Anthurium care also requires that the soil be free draining but hold some water. Care of anthurium plants does not require too much fertilizer. To get the best blooms, use a fertilizer that has a higher phosphorus number, once every three or four months.
