Plant Care

Watering

Water once a week or when the soil starts to become slightly dry at the top. Keep the soil lightly moist at all times, but do not overwater as this will cause brown spots and leaf drop. Curly or dry leaves suggest, the plant is dry and needs watering. Water in the early morning or late evening when temperatures are cooler. Always check your soil before watering.

Light

Bright indoor light or indirect sun. 6 hours to 8 hours

Temperature

Maintain temperatures between 18°C - 24°C. Avoid draughts as these can create undesirable temperature fluctuations. Consider giving your plant an occasional misting twice every week to maintain the optimum humidity level.

Fertilizer

Apply liquid fertilizer once in 15 days when the plant is actively growing. For best results use Folikraft ready to use Indoor Plant Food.

Plant Bio

Philodendron Minima is a tropical houseplant. This specific variety is known for the slits in their green leaves. To care for these plants, keep their soil moist by gently watering a couple times a week. These plants need to be kept in a bright-light location inside, out of direct sunlight.

Philodendron Minima loves to stay quite moist, especially during the growing season. The growth is faster when watered regularly but is extremely sensitive to overwatering.

Always water when the top two inches of the soil is dry. When it comes to the winter season, remember to cut down watering.

Try to keep the temperature above 55 F (12 C). Also, the plant loves humidity so it is advisable that keep the pot on a pebble tray filled with water. Placing a humidifier near the plant will also be a good idea.

Go for any balanced liquid fertilizer like 10-10-10 or 20-20-20. Feed the plant monthly, especially during springs and summers. Occasional application of Epsom salt also helps philodendron. Just make sure to avoid fertilizing the plant in winters.
