Plant Care

Watering

Water once a week or when the soil starts to become slightly dry at the top. Keep the soil lightly moist at all times, but do not overwater as this will cause brown spots and leaf drop. Curly or dry leaves suggest, the plant is dry and needs watering. Water in the early morning or late evening when temperatures are cooler. Always check your soil before watering.

Light

Bright indoor light or indirect sun. 6 hours to 8 hours

Temperature

Maintain temperatures between 18°C - 24°C. Avoid draughts as these can create undesirable temperature fluctuations. Consider giving your plant an occasional misting twice every week to maintain the optimum humidity level.

Fertilizer

Apply liquid fertilizer once in 15 days when the plant is actively growing. For best results use Folikraft ready to use Indoor Plant Food.

Plant Bio

If the fragrance alone isn't enough to convince you to grow English lavender (Lavandula Angustifolia), consider that the plants are drought-tolerant and require little maintenance.

Lavender needs full sun and soil that is very well drained. Once established, the plants tolerate dry conditions, but they don't tolerate wet soil. Loose, sandy soil is best. Lavender should receive as much light as possible. It will do best near a window where it can get a minimum of three to four hours of direct sunlight. Rotate the pot weekly for uniform growth and flowering. Without enough light, the lavender plant will produce weak, spindly growth, will cease to produce flowers, and it will be more susceptible to disease. Good ventilation and air circulation are important, but do not place the plant where it will be exposed to the direct flow of forced-air heat.Over- watering and allowing the soil to stay constantly moist may cause rot. However, do not allow the soil to go completely dry, or the lavender will react with yellowing lower leaves.
